Chantillycoons Yoko of Coons'Kin

aPlease note:  Please excuse the aspect of this picture.  This photo of Yoko is being added to this website during the COVID19 quarantine, when YahooSiteSolutions was closed.  When the world (hopefully) returns to normal, this photo will be rotated to save your neck from being twisted!  My apologies for now....

Yoko's parents are

Supreme Grand Champion Chantillycoon Ibuki and Mainlysilver Akari of Chantillycoon

Yoko came to me all the way from Tokyo, Japan, through the generosity of Ayako Torisaki of Chantillycoons Maine Coons.

A llittle bit of history:   Yoko's grandfather is LeBeauMinu Sinbad of Coons'Kin, solid black Maine Coon male (see his page on this website). Sinbad was bred to Mainlysilver Silver Scout by our good friend Bonnie Pilar in Grandview-on-Hudson, NY.  One of the offspring, a gorgeous black female, Mainlysilver Akari, went to Chantillycoons in Japan, and when Akari was all grown up and bred to Ibuki, a handsom black silver classic tabby, Yoko was born, destined to come back to San Diego, to the home of her grandfather, Sinbad.

Yoko's color is called Black Smoke, which is a solid color (non tabby) that appears black, but when the hairs are parted, you see they are white at the skin, giving them an almost ghost-like appearance, and a stunning look that makes many people swoon.  Photos of black smoke Maine Coons have circulated on the internet for years, but in reality black smoke Maine Coons are hard to find.  There is always a great audience for black smokes - more and more people are desirous of this color.

Most importantly, Yoko is a sweet, sweet girl, who always wants to be on a lap and will not tolerate being ignored.  She's the quintessential feline companion, not only beautiful on the outside, but beautiful on the inside.  I am so grateful to Ayako for allowing me to get this special girl.
